So, the good thing is that you are going to buy a motorcycle. The bad thing is that you are going to have to choose between the ones you want… and if your choices are between the GSX-R, the R1, and the Ninja, then you do have a tough choice ahead of you. In a way, it really depends on what you want to do with them.

First off, if you are into show bikes, then you will probably want to consider either the R1 or the GSX-R. The reason for this is that both of these have a large number of customizing parts available, unlike the Ninja which does not have as many. As far as performance goes, these bikes are pretty identical, depending upon what size you want.

Another thing to consider is the cost of insurance. Some of these bikes may cost more than others, so make sure to check with your insurance provider before making a choice. You might be surprised in finding out that one is a lot cheaper than the others!

Some say that the GSX-R has better performance than the R-1, but that the R1 makes a better show bike for the simple fact that it has so many after market parts you have the option to load onto it. But at the same time, the GSX-R will look better than a Ninja, while a bigger engine Ninja will probably give you more get up and go power.

Here is what you should probably do. Visit some dealers and look at all three bikes. If you can, test drive them. See what you think about each one. Next, go home and write the upsides and downsides of each on a piece of paper. The fact about all of these bikes is that they are all good bikes, and there is not a bad decision to be made here. You are simply looking for the bike that is better for you, because all of these bikes are of high quality. So, write down the good points and bad points, and after comparing, you will probably have your answer. Whether it is the GSX-R, the R1, or the Ninja, you can be assured that you will probably be glad with the decision you made because you made an informed decision, and got the one you wanted!

So, if you, like many people, have found yourself narrowing down your search to these two bikes, then let me congratulate you on choosing two top-quality finalists. However, the choice before you is a difficult one, and not one to be taken lightly. While in the grand scheme of things you will probably be happy with whichever one you buy, you definitely want to make the best choice, right?

Well, here are some things to think about while making your mind up. First, is it for street riding or for racing? Will you be using it everyday, or just on the weekends? These are some questions you might want to start with, which by answering will put you closer to your choice.

Another thing to consider is the insurance. Which will be higher? You might want to take that into consideration before making your final choice.

Long rides are not so “glamorous” on either of these bikes, but the 1000 is definitely better for the long rides. Also, since the 2007 models have adjustable foot pedals, comfort is a little higher on the priority list with these than they were a couple of years ago.

Another thing to think about is whether or not you are going to tour with your new bike. Both of these bikes require all of your attention all the time, while some bikes are a little more forgiving. If you want to tour, you might want to choose another bike altogether, unless you just enjoy the thrill that these particular models bring to the road.

Also, don’t let anyone tell you that the 750 feels “just as good” as the 1000. That extra motor mass makes a big difference, especially if you like to get up and go when you have a passenger on-board.

So, those of you who have been keeping up with this year’s new models will be sure to be anxious about the release of Suzuki’s new GSX-R1000. Does it live up to the hype? Is it all it is cracked up to be? Well, let’s see what they are saying about it.

At the model launch in Paris, Suzuki unveiled its new GSX-R1000 K9 model. This model has an all new and more compacted engine and a shorter wheelbase, making for one spitfire of a sports bike! The engine has undergone some significant changes in this new model, featuring, as the highlights, a more over-square bore and stoke, a higher compression ratio, 12-hole fuel injectors, larger titanium valves, and a lot more power packed into a bike that is 59mm shorter from front to rear.

And don’t think that the engine is the only thing that has gotten a re-vamp in this latest release form Suzuki! The all new chassis design should serve the make this model more agile than ever before. It features a new shorter, twin spar cast cradle frame, which is connected to a new longer arched swing arm which is comprised of three castings. Suzuki boasts that their new bike will do better on the racetrack than any of its predecessors because the wheelbase has been shortened by 10mm.

The bike will also be equipped with new Big Piston Forks from Showa, which will improve the endurance of the race bike. Even with reduced weight, this bike will have feedback and response that will amaze the masses… at least, it will amaze the ones that try to beat it!

So, what can we say about the new 2009 Suzuki GSX-R1000 K9? Well, its small, lightweight, agile, faster than ever, boasts more horsepower than ever, and has established that no GSXR has ever looked better! It is smaller, more agile, and brings to the table unsurpassed handling and maneuverability. But yet, at the same time, cranks out astounding horsepower for its size, leaving the competition in the dust! So, will the new GSXR be worth the money? Well, lets put it this way. If you admire agility, high horsepower, compactness, speed, and sleekness, then what the new Suzuki does is take all of these and put them in a bottle with the new GSXR. You will not want to miss this bike, that is for sure.

So, what can we say about the 2008 Suzuki GSX-R600? Well, the real question is, where would you start? This bike outsells every other sport bike on the American market. Why do people buy these motorcycles? Well, maybe it is because they are the best. Or, maybe it is because Suzuki has one heck of a marketing campaign. Or, is it because they are simply the cheapest? So many questions, but the real question, perhaps, is whether or not the GSX-R is worth the money. Many people have believed that it is (over 20,000 in 2006...), but should your hard earned dollars go to this company in exchange for a bike that seems, at first glance, like a small package of nuts and bolts that comes in an attractive, aerodynamic case?

Well, one this is for sure. The case is definitely attractive and aerodynamic. This model is slick, sleek, and sporty. The body work from front to back on this model is completely new from 2006, making it beautiful as well as cool. The front end has undergone some serious redesign, making the bike one of the prettiest from the front around. With the addition of a centrally located low-beam projector, dual high beams for purported increase in side illumination, and a position lamp, you can not only notice a difference in how this bike looks, but in how you can see when you are driving it at night!

The fuel tank on this bike is bigger, giving you 4.5 gallons of fuel with which to travel to the next gas station. Below the gas tank are curvy new side fairings which sport an x shape. This is pretty flamboyant, and is undeniably beautifully beautiful.

But, does the new GSXR drive as good as it looks? Well, it seems like this is the case. If it is speed that you are craving, then you will be happy to hear that the new Suzuki GSX-R600 does high speed a bit easier and better than its 2006 predecessor. But, back to our original question… is the bike worth the money?

In all fairness and honesty, you really cannot go wrong with this bike. It is fast, sleek, cool, beautiful, and offers some high speed excitement that its predecessor definitely fell short of. If you are into fast, agile motorcycles, then the Suzuki GSX-R600 doesn’t disappoint… no, it does not disappoint one little bit.
