GSXR 600 Review
So, what can we say about the 2008 Suzuki GSX-R600? Well, the real question is, where would you start? This bike outsells every other sport bike on the American market. Why do people buy these motorcycles? Well, maybe it is because they are the best. Or, maybe it is because Suzuki has one heck of a marketing campaign. Or, is it because they are simply the cheapest? So many questions, but the real question, perhaps, is whether or not the GSX-R is worth the money. Many people have believed that it is (over 20,000 in 2006...), but should your hard earned dollars go to this company in exchange for a bike that seems, at first glance, like a small package of nuts and bolts that comes in an attractive, aerodynamic case?
Well, one this is for sure. The case is definitely attractive and aerodynamic. This model is slick, sleek, and sporty. The body work from front to back on this model is completely new from 2006, making it beautiful as well as cool. The front end has undergone some serious redesign, making the bike one of the prettiest from the front around. With the addition of a centrally located low-beam projector, dual high beams for purported increase in side illumination, and a position lamp, you can not only notice a difference in how this bike looks, but in how you can see when you are driving it at night!
The fuel tank on this bike is bigger, giving you 4.5 gallons of fuel with which to travel to the next gas station. Below the gas tank are curvy new side fairings which sport an x shape. This is pretty flamboyant, and is undeniably beautifully beautiful.
But, does the new GSXR drive as good as it looks? Well, it seems like this is the case. If it is speed that you are craving, then you will be happy to hear that the new Suzuki GSX-R600 does high speed a bit easier and better than its 2006 predecessor. But, back to our original question… is the bike worth the money?
In all fairness and honesty, you really cannot go wrong with this bike. It is fast, sleek, cool, beautiful, and offers some high speed excitement that its predecessor definitely fell short of. If you are into fast, agile motorcycles, then the Suzuki GSX-R600 doesn’t disappoint… no, it does not disappoint one little bit.
