Second, are the rear sets you are looking at made from a high quality material? It is recommended that you use a strong yet lightweight material for your foot pegs, like 6061 billet aluminum. Another thing to think about is how much adjustability the pegs have. Does the model in question have all the adjustability you could want, or will you need more? Make sure that it is fully adjustable so that you will be able to set it up exactly to your own tastes as a rider… otherwise you will pay for it later on with a lack of comfort.
And finally, can the rear set in question be set up for both standard or reverse shift patterns? This might be something that you haven’t thought of, but it makes a ton of difference. Even though you can learn to drive both ways, shouldn’t you be able to choose the one you want?
